About the Role:
Based at PSI Belfast, the Service Engineer will be a member of the PSI technical team. The main purpose of the position is to carry out repairs and maintenance of PSI's equipment and those of PSI's clients, when requested.
The Service Engineer will play a vital part in the efficient and speedy turnaround of faulty equipment and the overall smooth running of PSI's technical operations and conduct proactive and reactive maintenance and fault finding on a range of equipment, including:
Repair cable assemblies and circuitry including component level diagnostics and repair.
Maintain repair logs for equipment and book faulty equipment into repair to ensure stock levels remain accurate In our busy hire departments.
Design and fabricate custom projects and touring solutions for equipment in conjunction with project managers
Service moving lights, lighting consoles and power distribution units
Manage your own time and workflow, liaising with other members of staff as appropriate to meet deadlines
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers regarding complex problems and warranty repairs.
In order to succeed in this role, you'll have previous experience of soldering and using power tools and be a logical thinker with fundamental electronics and electrical knowledge, however we are keen to hear from candidates with different backgrounds about what they feel they could bring to the role.

You'll have prior experience working in a maintenance or repair role, either in a workshop environment or on site.

Desirable
Familiarity with lighting consoles and moving lights.
Manufacturer specific moving light maintenance training.
To investigate any recurring problems in equipment and compile reports for the directors and technical team.
To perform any hardware or software upgrades deemed necessary to PSI's equipment.
Experience in entertainment hoists.
Experience using rental management software.
Electrical/PAT testing qualifications.
To carry out LOLER tests for PSI and clients.
To assist on prep of moving lights in busy times.
To perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the director.

Experience of LOLER testing (D)
