About the Role
Symbiosis Care Limited is expanding its highly successful and established adult care services to support children and young people across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. We are now seeking a committed and experienced
Ofsted Registered Children's Home Manager
to lead our new
Children's Supported Living Services
from our Bedford base.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape and lead a brand-new provision, focused on creating nurturing, safe, and empowering environments for children and young people. You will be responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of the service, ensuring full compliance with
Ofsted
regulations and promoting the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
Register with Ofsted as the
Registered Manager
and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Lead and manage a dedicated team to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
Ensure the emotional, physical, and psychological well-being of the young people in our care.
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
Develop a positive culture that reflects our values: independence, respect, empowerment, and inclusion.
Work closely with local authorities, families, and other professionals to deliver seamless support.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies, children's legislation, and best practice.
Requirements
Level 5 Diploma
in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
At least
2 years' experience
in a managerial role within a children's residential care setting.
Strong knowledge of
Children's Homes Regulations 2015
and
Quality Standards
.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Enhanced
DBS check
(or willingness to undergo one).
Ability to reliably commute to Bedford or relocate before starting.
Desirable
Full
UK driving licence
.
Experience transitioning services through Ofsted registration and inspection.
