PIPS Hope & Support is a leading mental health and suicide-prevention charity providing free, professional counselling and crisis intervention services across the Southern Health & Social Care Trust area. We exist to ensure that no one faces mental health distress or suicidal crisis alone, offering compassionate, timely, and person-centered care.
Role Summary
We are seeking experienced and professional Sessional Counsellors/ Therapists to deliver Integrative and/pr CBT counselling as part of our expanding therapeutic team. The role involves working with clients experiencing emotional distress, suicidal ideation, or suicide bereavement, helping them build resilience, recovery, and hope.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-to-one counselling sessions (face-to-face-, online, or telephone).
Manage client caseloads and maintain accurate sessional and outcome records (CORE-NT).
Work within PIPS HS clinical governance and ethical frameworks.
Support early intervention, recovery, and wellbeing outcomes for clients.
Provide therapeutic support for individuals bereaved by suicide.
Participate in supervision and professional development as required.
Essential Criteria
Qualified Counsellor or CBT Therapist.
Registered or working towards accreditation (BACP, BABCP, IACP, BPC< UKCP, or EMCC).
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience and 150 supervised hours.
Recent Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults training (within last 2 years).
Evidence of ongoing CPD.
Access to transport and ability to work across the Trust area.
Professional Indemnity Insurance (5m) and Public Liability Insurance (10m)
Enhanced Access NI check required prior to commencement.

Travel allowances are not included.
Associate Counsellors must not work alone on the premises.
