PeoplePlus is the largest independent provider of education in prisons, we provide over two million hours of learning and vocational training each year. We are currently working with 9,100 offenders in ten prisons, delivering high quality courses that range from basic literacy to the arts.
PeoplePlus needs sessional tutors that can do more than just deliver a qualification but can engage and inspire students that have had little or no prior education. We need sessional tutors that believe people are capable of change and deserve a second chance in life.
As a sessional tutors within offender learning you can expect no two days to be the same and though at times challenge is incredibly rewarding As a sessional tutors you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to people live who may never had a genuine chance to learn and in turn help to break the cycle of reoffending by building confidence and self-worth.

To be considered for the role you will need a relevant teaching qualification (or the willingness to work towards one). Appointment is subject to a full enhanced DBS check and undertaking prison clearance.
