Are you passionate about using sport to positively impact young people's lives? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic

Sessional Sports-Based Tutor

to deliver 1-to-1 sessions that engage learners in a variety of sports activities in the community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working individually with learners, building rapport, and supporting their development through tailored sports-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, 1-to-1 sports-based sessions tailored to each learner's individual needs and goals. Use sport as a tool to engage, motivate, and develop confidence, resilience, and life skills. Build positive, professional relationships with learners, encouraging participation and progression. Adapt activities to meet the learner's interests, ability level, and learning style. Support learners' personal, social, and physical development through consistent, positive engagement. Maintain accurate records of attendance, engagement, and progress. Liaise with parents/carers, schools, or referral agencies as appropriate. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment during every session. Uphold and promote safeguarding, equality, and health & safety standards at all times. Act as a positive role model and representative of the organisation in the community.

Requirements:

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential). Previous experience working 1-to-1 with children or young people, ideally in a sports or educational setting (essential). A recognised sports coaching or teaching qualification (desirable). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage and motivate learners on a 1-to-1 basis. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided). Flexibility to work at various locations and times, including evenings or weekends if required. An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
