Sessional Tutors

Hourly Rate: 24.40 for delivery

Hourly Rate: 18.56 for IQA

Working Pattern: Variable Hours as and when required, including weekends. Fixed term until 31 July 2026.
Location: Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, South Yorkshire



We are looking for Sessional Tutors to join our growing team with qualifications and experience in delivering ESOL. Courses will be held on site in our unique college setting and at venues across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Key dutiesPlan, deliver and assess high quality teaching and learning both face to face and online. Assess, record and report on student progress. Work within quality assurance procedures and the requirements of accrediting bodies/RARPA. Participate in quality improvement activities and meetings. Participate in the design and development of new teaching and learning materials, including those required for blended and online delivery.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience in teaching delivery in the relevant subject area. Proven ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals. A vocational qualification or a degree in the relevant subject area. A level 5 teaching qualification or be willing to achieve. English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
