We are looking for a
Sessional ULET Assessor
to join us on a Fixed Term Contract (1 year). You will be working 2 to 5 hours per week (with more hours being offered during the Summer period).
As our
Sessional ULET Assessor
, you will be assessing the English language ability of international students applying to the University of Law and ensure that the policies and processes associated with English language assessments are accurate and fully compliant with regulatory requirements. The University has successfully launched its internal English Language Test (ULET) and requires a pool of Assessors to utilise on a year-round basis.
Please note: the volume of work will increase during peak periods, from 2 up to 5 hours per week but more hours may be offered during the summer.
As our
Sessional ULET Assessor, you will:
Assess the English level of international students through marking Writing and Speaking
Undertake standardisation of ULET (Writing and Speaking
Conduct one-to-one formal Speaking Assessments via Zoom
Is this you?;
Only current examiners of English language will be considered for the role.
Recent experience in assessing international students' Spoken and Written English language level against a set of descriptors
Current examiner status (IELTS, Trinity, Cambridge or other accredited awarding bodies)
Clear organisational and planning skills and the ability to use own initiative to manage workload
Ability to work across cultures and different cultural environments
