Sessional Youth Workers

to join our dedicated frontline team in Lowestoft.

As a Sessional Youth Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality youth work that supports, inspires, and empowers young people aged 11-24. You'll work across a range of settings including open-access sessions, one-to-one support, and detached youth work.

Key Objectives:



Deliver engaging and inclusive youth work sessions tailored to the needs of young people. Build positive, voluntary relationships that support personal and social development. Create safe, innovative ways to reach and involve young people in their communities. Contribute to programme targets and outcomes. Champion Inspire's values and uphold the Youth Work Code of Ethics.

Main Responsibilities:



Facilitate drop-ins, mobile youth work, 1:1s, assemblies, and community projects. Support young people's development in areas such as education, health, employment, and wellbeing. Signpost to relevant services and empower young people to overcome challenges. Ensure youth voice is central to session planning and delivery. Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation. Collaborate with local partners and represent Inspire at community events.

What We're Looking For:



Essential:



Experience working with young people aged 11-24. Ability to build trusting, purposeful relationships. Strong organisational and IT skills. Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel locally. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:



Youth Work Level 2/3 qualification. Experience supporting neurodivergent young people. Knowledge of IAG, employability skills, and safeguarding. Experience with data entry and monitoring systems (e.g., Views, Outcomes Star).
We have a number of vacancies available on a fixed-term contract, initially through until 31st March 2026. The vacancies are:

Post 1: 13 1/4 hours (Mid afternoon/evenings)

Post 2: 4 hours (from 5pm onwards)

Post 3: 2/ 1/2 hours (Friday evenings)

Pay: 12.61 per hour
