We operate as the Principal Contractor to a wide range of clients, and we combine our civil engineering and mechanical engineering experience and competence to deliver high spec and, in some cases, complex district heating schemes for clients.

We are currently recruiting a Setting out Engineer for a long duration contract in Bristol.

2nd section - About the job: What the job involves, its roles and duties.

The setting out engineer will be responsible for setting out the works in accordance with the design and he/she will have responsibility for the following site duties.

Report to the Site Manager / Project Manager on all aspects related to setting out and record keeping.

Responsibility for setting out, levelling and surveying the site. Mapping and surveying and responsibility for the digital computation, recording and reporting of data / statistics.

Supervision of materials and ensuring relevant documentation is compliant.

Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.

Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors.

Resolving technical / engineering problems.

Examine design information, to ensure plans and drawings are accurate and achievable.

Assist in the production of as built records.

Responsibility for producing ITP's and ensure they are signed off by relevant parties.

Ensure that the QA File is produced and maintained.

3rd section - Requirements: Any experience and/or education requirements.

Minimum 5 years construction experience with a proven record of the discipline of a setting out engineer.

Knowledge of instruments such as total station

Good working knowledge of CDM regulations.

Problem solving and analytical thinking.

Good organisational skills
