Perfect Alterations is a small family business in South London who is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Sewing Machinist to join our team. We specialize in tailoring/altering high-quality garments and provide outstanding craftsmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be required to assist with garment fittings and attending to customers requests in the shop.

Responsibilities:

Seamlessly communicate with customers in English, providing excellent customer service and addressing their specific needs. Perform dress fittings and alterations with precision, ensuring garments fit perfectly and meet customer expectations. Execute sewing techniques of the highest standard on a variety of high-quality garments, including delicate fabrics. Collaborate with the design team to understand garment specifications and requirements. Uphold strict quality control standards to ensure all finished products meet our high standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper maintenance of sewing equipment. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to garment construction and alterations.
Requirements:

Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with customers and team members. Proven experience in the industry and exceptional sewing skills and the ability to work on high-quality garments. Proficient in various sewing techniques, including alterations, and garment construction. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision, ensuring accurate dress fittings and alterations. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to adapt to new techniques and technologies.
