Overview

A well-established bespoke sofa manufacturer in the North West is seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join their small, dedicated workshop team in Manchester. This hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented craftsperson with experience working with both leather and fabric in an upholstery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality leather and fabric upholstery components Ensure sewing meets strict quality control standards Work independently with confidence and pride in craftsmanship Maintain accuracy and consistency across varied projects Meet production deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
Candidate Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a machinist (preferred) Experience working with both leather and fabric materials Strong initiative and a proactive work ethic Commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship Must be able to work in person at the Manchester workshop
Schedule

Monday to Friday Weekend availability during busy periods Overtime available as needed
