As a SHE Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence. Your expertise will ensure our construction projects not only meet regulatory standards but set the benchmark for best practice. What you'll be doing

Conducting health and safety assurance audits and overseeing monthly safety reporting
Providing specialist support and professional advice on health and safety matters, including reviewing contractor plans and tender submissions for compliance
Monitoring operational safety performance, suggesting improvements, and ensuring safe execution of works
Coordinating and completing site inspections and monitoring checklists to maintain high standards
Promoting a proactive SHE culture that engages all employees and delivers ongoing improvements
Reviewing risk assessments and method statements, supporting competence reviews, and identifying training needs
Reporting and investigating incidents, accidents, and dangerous occurrences, and driving performance improvement
Liaising with project teams to implement best practice, lessons learned, and SHE bulletins

Key requirements & experience
----------------------------------
Essential:
NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, IOSH Managing Safely, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Detailed knowledge of 2015 CDM regulations
Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within asset infrastructure or a similar environment
Strong working knowledge in capability development, change control, design management, governance, and project management
Practitioner-level skills in data analysis, reporting, environmental sustainability, assurance, legal compliance, risk management, and stakeholder communication
Expert-level understanding of health and safety management
Desirable:
Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field
Gas operations experience (Transmission or Distribution)
