Operating from multiple UK locations, our key hubs are based in Esh Winning (Durham) and Great Heck (Selby).

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and experienced

SHE & Compliance Manager

to lead our safety, health, environmental, and compliance functions. This is a pivotal role ensuring our operations meet all legislative and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental:

Develop and maintain SHE policies and procedures Conduct risk assessments and accident/incident investigations Manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) Liaise with the DGSA and promote SHE awareness across the business Deliver Toolbox Talks and internal audits Oversee PPE stock and distribution Support SHE requirements for new business implementation

Compliance & Operator Licensing:

Ensure compliance with Operator Licence regulations Conduct vehicle maintenance and driver defect audits Manage tachograph analysis and driver training Maintain FORS accreditation and lead compliance reporting Attend and contribute to operational meetings

What We're Looking For

Essential:

NEBOSH or equivalent qualification Strong understanding of logistics compliance and safety standards Excellent IT and data analysis skills Confident decision-maker with strong leadership and communication abilities Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

CPC (National/International - Road Haulage) DGSA certification FORS Practitioner Certificate
