Restoration: external mansion block repair schemes and internal common part refurbishment.
Cladding remediation: design and build contracts replacing combustible cladding to residential high-rise buildings.
Fire compartmentation: certi?ed ?re door installation, repair and maintenance, as well as compartmentation schemes and installation of ?re detection and suppression systems.
Job Purpose:
The SHE manager will lead and oversee all aspects of the safety, health and environmental compliance across all our projects. The role ensures that our operations meet the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance and sustainability while fostering a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement. Beyond compliance, the SHE Manager will act as a trusted advisor to project teams, subcontractors, and senior management, providing practical guidance on risk management, fire safety, and environmental protection.
Main duties:
Develop, implement, and monitor SHE policies, procedures, and site-specific plans.
Ensure compliance with UK legislation (CDM Regulations, Fire Safety Regulations, etc.) and company standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Provide SHE guidance during facade remediation, compartmentation, and restoration works.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to identify hazards and implement control measures.
Ensure safe working practices for scaffolding, working at height, fire stopping, and material handling.
Support Project managers to deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and SHE training sessions.
Promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging reporting and continuous improvement.
Mentor site teams on best practices in fire safety, facade works, and restoration activities.
Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents.
Prepare reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Liaise with regulatory bodies (HSE, local authorities) when required.
Monitor waste management, recycling, and sustainability practices.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company sustainability goals.
Person Specification:
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.
Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) preferred.
Proven experience in construction safety management, ideally within facade remediation, fire compartmentation, or restoration projects.
Strong knowledge of UK building safety legislation and industry standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
