We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products using a range of tools and machinery. The role involves working with various types of metals including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel, ensuring all work meets specified standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Cut, bend, roll, shape, and assemble sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g. guillotines, folders, press brakes).
Weld and join sheet metal parts using MIG/TIG/spot welding techniques.
Ensure all products are fabricated to the highest standard and meet tolerance requirements.
Carry out quality checks and inspection of completed work.
Operate within health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other trades as needed.
Keep accurate records of materials used and production timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a sheet metal worker or similar fabrication role.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent qualification preferred.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and plans.
Skilled in the use of fabrication machinery and welding techniques.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Forklift license advantageous but not essential.

Working Conditions
Typically workshop-based, with potential for on-site work depending on project requirements.
Standard working hours with potential overtime or shift work during busy periods.
Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) is mandatory.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.00-18.50 per hour
