We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our busy team in Dyce, Aberdeen. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality sheet metal and welding operations on a range of gas turbine components.

An overview of your day

Perform Sheet Metal and Welding operations using a wide variety of equipment. Conduct various fabrication projects throughout the ARB facility. Conduct preventative maintenance of tools and equipment including machine daily inspection. Organise own workload within the department and proactively highlight HSE matters which could improve our performance. Provide regular feedback to Supervisor on progress of tasks and escalate any issues that may impact on agreed turn times. Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5's). The Department recognise a number of shift patterns and there will be opportunities to work overtime.

What we need from you

Time served Sheet Metal Worker with recognised Apprenticeship. TIG welding experience working with thin gauge material. Competent in using measuring equipment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow process control. Sound organisational, planning and communication skills. Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Competent in interpreting technical drawings and process specifications. Knowledge of QHS&E procedures & COSHH assessments. Knowledge of Gas Turbine repairs and overhaul processes would be advantageous.
