Exciting Opportunity: Machine Shop Operator Position

We are looking for a talented Machine Shop Operator, Plater/Welder, or Guillotine Operator to join our team and contribute to our success.

The successful candidate will:

Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision Have hands-on experience operating manual drills, milling machines, and lathes Be comfortable handling single-piece and small batch production tasks Be proficient in using measuring tools and equipment Have experience operating press brakes, sheet rollers, manual punches, and drills Possess knowledge of tube forming and section rolling (preferred) Adhere to company health and safety procedures while performing tasks Demonstrate high motivation and a proactive work attitude Maintain a clean and organized workspace, working effectively within a team
This is a full-time position with working hours from 07:30 to 16:30, Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:30 on Fridays. There are opportunities for skill development and career progression into CNC milling and turning roles.

Salary will depend on experience and skills, with a potential hourly rate of up to 16. Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce sheet metal components Use hand tools and machinery for cutting, grinding, welding, and assembling parts Ensure proper fit, finish, and quality of fabricated components Perform quality inspections to uphold high standards Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and efficiency Follow safety guidelines and keep the work environment tidy and safe

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in sheet metal work Proficient in fabrication, grinding, and welding techniques Skilled in using hand tools and tooling for precise assembly Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations Experience with milling processes and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
