Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Stacker to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently organising and stacking materials, ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse environment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, materials handling, and teamwork to support our logistics and inventory management processes. Prior experience with warehouse operations and relevant equipment will be advantageous.

Duties

Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Stack products and materials in designated areas according to company standards. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing goods for dispatch and receipt. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately. Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage and organisation to optimise space utilisation. Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts to ensure safety and functionality. Support with general warehouse tasks including cleaning, organising, and maintaining a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets efficiently.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all new staff. Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction or heavy lifting tasks will be considered a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle materials safely, including load and unload activities in a busy environment. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
