Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Stacker to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate stacking of materials, ensuring that all products are handled with care and stored appropriately. This role is crucial in maintaining an organised warehouse environment and supporting the overall logistics operations.

Duties

Load and unload materials from lorries and pallets, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to transport goods within the facility. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring they are stacked correctly for optimal storage and retrieval. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying that all incoming and outgoing shipments match documentation. Collaborate with team members to build an effective workflow, contributing to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Proficiency in loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently. Valid forklift certification is advantageous; training may be provided for the right candidate. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Familiarity with materials handling practices and safety regulations. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
