SHEQ Advisor - Make an Impact with a Leading UK Rail Plant Services Company



A P Webb Plant Hire is a multi-award-winning provider of rail plant services across the UK. We're looking for a proactive SHEQ Advisor--ideally with plant and/or rail experience--to help us maintain and continually improve our industry-leading Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards.

In addition to your main role there will be opportunity to support the health and safety of a flourishing marina and restaurant as well as a separate manufacturing business.

What You will Do



Support the delivery of safe systems and safe places of work, promoting a positive health and safety culture at all levels. Advise Directors and Managers on SHEQ performance and recommend practical improvements. Assist in preparing risk assessments and method statements. Lead and promote training, inductions, and hazard-awareness initiatives. Maintain clear, consistent SHEQ communication across the business. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing clear reports and action plans. Liaise with management and relevant authorities regarding incident reporting. Champion environmental compliance and sustainability, including waste reduction, pollution prevention, and supporting our commitments to responsible resource use and carbon-reduction initiatives.

What We are Looking For - Essential



A foundation qualification in Safety, Health, Environment or Quality IT literacy Strong working knowledge of cloud-based safety and compliance reporting tools Full, clean UK driving licence.

What We are Looking For - Desirable



Experience in rail, construction, oil & gas, or other safety-critical sectors Working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (GradIOSH) Working towards an environmental qualification (e.g.IEMA)

Additional Information



Full-time role: 42.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-17:00 (-hour lunch).
