Role Summary:



The EES - SHEQ Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe running of all offsite activities within the business. The role is required to carry out regular site inspections and integrate with the offsite team in order to identify current and upcoming risks to the business.

Primary Responsibilities:



Offsite site inspections, reports and ongoing follow up visit. Inspections to be carried out weekly and reports issued to the board and management senior management team. More frequent inspections may be required in the event of a high-risk activity, (IS045001 preparation). Site photos to be taken during each survey, not just of risk areas but also of site progress generally. Photos to be issued separately with each report. Management of Sites and Operative Company Standards, including PPE. Ensure site rules adhered to my employee's/contractors. Support will be provided for day to day overseeing of PPE ordering and issuing. Working with setting up site files, file size dependant on duration of project and number of operatives on site. Then ongoing site visits to ensure files are being updated by site managers. Ensure files are saved accordingly post job completion. Work with Project Managers to ensure site inductions are being carried out on all projects and filed accordingly post job completion. Along with construction phase plans for all projects and update throughout the project durations. Manage sub-contractor RAMS for all projects. Request from sub-contractor prior to work commencement on all projects. Onsite taking this responsibility, offsite working alongside Project Managers to ensure in place and reviewed and accepted. Create In-house RAMS as needed to form part of the pre-construction process. Or in an instance where the site is non-compliant and proceeding without could pose an imminent threat to the business. The need to produce RAMS will be for onsite/offsite activities. Attend all pre-construction meetings in order to determine stage of pre-construction information and date for 1st site survey. Working on and proposing to board continuous improvements for activities across sites to reduce risk to the business and improve overall health and safety. Developing the H&S infrastructure in preparation for the attainment of ISO45001 Arrange relevant appointments with suppliers / contractors for H&S requirements (e.g. fire safety, medicals, electrical equipment testing etc)

Qualifications & Training

Educated to A-level standard - (essential) IT Literacy (MS Office) - (essential) IOSH Accreditation - (essential) NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)
Experience

Previous compliance experience (essential) Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory issues and provide advice at all levels (essential) Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment (essential) Previous management experience (essential) A broad understanding of the key concepts of risk management (essential) Demonstrable experience in a waste management background (desirable)
