As SHEQ Manager for Tradebe Heysham, you'll lead all health, safety, environmental and quality activity, ensuring the site operates safely, compliantly and efficiently. You'll be a key member of the senior leadership team, embedding best practice and driving continuous improvement across operations.
What you'll be doing:
Lead SHEQ performance and management systems across the site, ensuring safe, compliant operations
Sound understanding of HSE and Environmental legislation, guidance and standards
Own process and personal safety, including risk assessment, ALARP and incident management
Partner closely with engineering, maintenance and laboratory teams to support operational excellence
Maintain compliance with COMAH Safety Reports, permits, emergency arrangements and legislation
Drive continuous improvement, modernisation and new waste stream initiatives
Lead the site's sustainability and net zero agenda, including emissions trading, energy and carbon reduction programmes
Oversee health, environmental and quality compliance, including COSHH, Duty of Care and audits
Represent Tradebe with regulators, industry bodies and external stakeholders
Do you have what it takes?

Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence at senior level
Self-motivated with a proactive, can-do approach
Effective stakeholder engagement, including regulators and external bodies
Solid IT skills, including MS Office
Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems
Sound understanding of HSE legislation, guidance and standards
Experience working in hazardous waste and/or COMAH-regulated environments
Degree in science or engineering or equivalent significant industry experience
Level 6 qualification in Health & Safety or Environment, or equivalent competence
Desirable skills & experience
Project and time management capability
Technical specialisms in safety and/or environmental disciplines
Detailed knowledge of Tradebe sites, processes or similar complex operations
