SHEQ Standards Compliance Auditing Manager

who would like to help us reach our mission to "earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service".

Purpose of this role



To ensure compliance to required SHEQ standards and accreditations across all BUUK Group entities.

Your key responsibilities are



Co-ordinate group activities to ensure compliance and continual improvement in systems management across all areas of the business to maintain compliance to BUUK SHEQ accreditations, including but not limited to ISO 9001,14001, 45001 and SSIP certification (e.g. CHAS SMAS, Construction, SAFE Contractor, CQMS).

In liaison with relevant managers prepare and co-ordinate ongoing assessments by our Registration/Certification bodies.

Maintain SSIP Accreditations eg. CHAS, SMAS, Constructionline, SAFE Contractor, CQMS, to ensure the renewal of certificates, and co-ordinate the introduction of any other SSIP certificates as required by the Group.

Undertake routine audits of policies and procedures in relation to compliance to legislation/external compliance requirements and BUUK Group Policies and Procedures as per the Internal Audit Schedule.

Assist with the completion of QSA audits (as required by the group).

Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure that it meets the needs of the Group and all its Operating companies and complies with current legislation, compliance requirements and industry best practice.

Co-ordinate the preparation of data required for the groups Steering Committee meetings.

Collation and presentation of data for SHEQ Metrics as detailed within the Groups SHEQ plan.

Develop the SHEQ Audit platform to meet the needs of the Standards Compliance Team and BUUK auditing requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practice.

Monitor completions of corrective actions in the SHEQ audit system and analyse results, trends, root cause and areas for improvement.

Any other duties as required by the Standards Compliance Manager.

Qualifications



A quality management auditing background.

Internal Auditor qualification.

Experience/Knowledge



Knowledge and experience of auditing and compliance management within a complex business.

Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 requirements.

General awareness of Health, Safety and Environment legal requirements.

Abilities/Skills



Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly organised and self motivated with a keen eye for detail.

Pragmatic approach to prioritisation and problem solving.

Highly articulate and persuasive, comfortable working at all levels within the organisation to develop strong relationships.

People Management skills.

Desirable



IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

ROSPA QSA Auditor (or the ability to work towards achieving this qualification).

Experience of working in an engineering/construction/utilities company operating in a high risk environment.

Ability to demonstrate a history of continuous improvements through systems management.

Experience in change management and/or the implementation of new systems including document management systems.

Conditions of Employment
