We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to patients in various healthcare settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering personalised care, ensuring patient comfort, and assisting medical professionals with clinical tasks. Duties



You will



Provide safe, caring, and respectful transportation of non-emergency patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and welfare at all times, in line with your level of training. Operate all approved vehicles safely, planning and driving efficient routes, complying with Road Traffic Laws and organisational procedures. Assist patients with mobility needs, using specialist equipment and techniques as required, and maintain high standards of infection prevention and control. Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of vehicles, equipment, and uniform, including performing daily checks, recording information accurately, restocking and cleaning vehicles, and reporting any issues or concerns promptly. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, their families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and service delivery. Accurately record and maintain confidential patient and journey information using company agreed systems.

Requirements



Full UK manual driving licence. Willingness ability to complete mandatory training on an ongoing basis. Experience in a customer facing role, preferably within the care industry. Experience of working as part of a team. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to show empathy, patience, and compassion towards patients from diverse backgrounds. Good physical fitness to safely assist with moving and handling patients and equipment. Ability to follow procedures and health & safety guidelines. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally. Basic problem-solving skills and initiative. Good timekeeping and reliability. Ability to maintain accurate records and respect confidentiality. Basic IT skills or familiarity with electronic record-keeping systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From 18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 45 per week
