We have an opportunity for a Shift Electro-mechanical engineer to join our team in Sherborne.
Overall function and description of the job
As a Shift Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing electro-mechanical systems and products. This includes working on components and systems that combine electrical and mechanical elements to meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
Main duties:
Working to a daily protocol to resolve reported faults.
Checking systems regularly to make sure they are working efficiently and safely.
Planned maintenance inspections.
Responding to out-of-hours call outs.
Posting and closing jobs from the daily protocol/job sheet.
Undertaking routine maintenance tasks and servicing.
Assist in the maintenance and improvement of existing products and systems.
Perform detailed analysis and troubleshooting of systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
Conduct risk assessments and prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and maintenance guidelines
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Position requirements:
City & Guilds electrical installation LEVELS 2&3
Ideally 2391 Testing and inspection
18th Edition Wiring Regulations + amendments or equivalent qualifications
Ideally, have a background in manufacturing or production with apprenticeship training.
Demonstrate a proactive and logical approach to continuous improvement.

(Monday to Friday 5.45 am - 2.15pm/ 1.45 pm- 10.15 pm)
