We have an opportunity available for a reliable and well-organised Shift Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations and control of our machinery, ensuring materials and equipment are readily available to support the smooth delivery of our operation.

The Role

To operationally maintain existing machinery and equipment across the site by undertaking work and testing on a regular basis and respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, ensuring down time and disruption is kept to a minimum, using root cause analysis. The Engineer will provide a rapid respond to breakdown situations and provide correct and timely fault diagnosis and repairs. The Engineer will also complete plant maintenance and support the Operations team where appropriate. They will identify opportunities for improvements within engineering processes and recommend solutions High standards in relation to Health & Safety, Housekeeping, statutory regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices are also intrinsic to the role.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements

Highly organised, ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment meeting deadlines of tasks Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical engineering Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft software package Previous experience in a similar role ideal, but not essential as full training will be provided Strong planning /organising / communicator Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure. Highly developed communication skills (verbal, written, listening) Self-motivated and proactive approach to work Stay calm in a crisis
