ABOUT THE ROLE


In the role of Shift Engineer, your key focus will be to:

provide full and effective maintenance service to public areas, guest rooms and colleague facilities complete a thorough handover at the beginning and end of every shift ensure the nightly check sheets are completed as per the SOP's, ensuring all plant rooms are visited, checked and all readings are recorded complete the pool checks on time, ensuring all readings are recorded and corrective action taken if necessary work without supervision and remain self-motivated during your shift ensure that Duty Management team is informed of any potential issues which may arise, and also to follow up on any issues which have occurred during the shift liaise with guests and other departments when attending to an issue and keep them up to date with your progress

ABOUT YOU

previous experience within a similar role in a hospitality environment or within another sector ability to cover all aspects of general maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and basic plant operations and repairs ability to prioritise your workload and ensure all guest requests are dealt with in a timely manner relevant trade qualifications great problem solving skills positive and proactive attitude ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of the Engineering team
