We are now seeking a Shift Engineer, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.
What you'll do
We have a dedicated team of engineers who manage the highly specialised equipment in our factories. Whilst fixing breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance is a key part of the job, you will spend a significant amount of time in developing improvements and supporting the strategy of investment and installation of new equipment.
Working at Clawson
Working at Clawson is different from other manufacturing sites. Yes, you will be reacting to breakdowns and fixing problems, but you will also have the opportunity to help with capital project installations.
There isn't a 'chase the case' culture, and how the factory runs supports a good level of pro-active work to ensure equipment reliability is good and improvements can be implemented.
It is a well invested site with many new machines including equipment that has been specifically developed for the portioning and packaging of Stilton cheese. The future will see substantial investment to further secure the sites future and support growth.

Ensure effective communication with Engineering Team stake holders and production stake holders
Actively update shift lead on workload.
Complete necessary reports and paperwork for work completed.
Complete jobs on the Agility system ensuring that all relevant information is included to support with similar future problems and RCAs etc.
Actively support and encourage team members.
Integrity
Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and Company Rules/Procedures are always adhered to.
Behave in an honest & Industrious way showing respect for all.
What are we looking for?
Ideally Apprentice trained multi skilled Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrician - or experience in a manufacturing environment
Health & Safety awareness.
Adaptable/flexible to meet requirements and demands of the business and seasonal fluctuations.
Ability to work on own initiative & self-motivated.
Industrious and able to work under pressure.
Good level of accuracy and numeracy when completing records.
