As the UK leader in blow moulding HDPE plastic bottle manufacturing, we are always on the lookout for motivated and ambitious employees to join our expanding team at our Head Office in Newport Pagnell.

Are you an experienced Shift Engineer looking to progress your career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are looking for a hands-on engineer to work closely with the Shift Manager and production team to ensure the plant, machinery and equipment meets agreed standards of performance and improve the manufacturing operation within a shift-based team.

Main duties:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance to agreed schedule. Monitor performance of machinery and equipment and to be pro-active in avoiding downtime by initiating any necessary improvement measures. Ensure the efficiency of equipment and ensure a fast resolution of any problems. Assist with new projects to ensure continual improvement on site. Support the Engineering Team with repairs for any breakdowns.
We offer a 4 on and 4 off continental shift pattern based on a rotation of 2 days (06:00 to 18:00) and 2 nights (18:00 to 06:00); competitive salary and a generous benefits package.

Ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a similar role is essential. ONC qualification. Ability to fault-find with electrics and electronics. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Practical understanding of PLC equipment preferred. A hands-on results-orientated approach. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work along and as part of a team.

Pay: 21.00-22.00 per hour
