We are now looking for a friendly and engaging Shift Engineer/Painter to join Page8 Hotel, St. Martins Place, London.

Key accountabilities

As Shift Engineer/Painter, you will

Oversee the daily maintenance and engineering operations as per daily check lists Carry out painting and decorating work to all guest bedrooms, public and back of house areas Liaise with departments to coordinate and respond to routine / urgent maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on the hotel's life safety systems as well as throughout other areas of the hotel, including front and back of house Understand statutory compliance and regulations and ensure the hotel complies with these, reporting any concerns relating to safety or guest needs. Work with external contractors to assist them in performing maintenance or construction work Typically work 8 hour shifts in 5-day work week

As Painter/Shift Engineer, you will have

Previous experience working as an Engineer, preferably with luxury hotel experience Experience and knowledge of painting and decorating to a high level Certified knowledge of at least one of the key areas of engineering, Painting and Decorating essential Attention to detail with good can-do attitude Good level of communication (English preferred) in a guest facing environment Good team player and able to work unsupervised. Ability to multitask and prioritise Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns including late shift and weekend work
