skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer

to join our team and ensure our property continues to operate at the highest standards.

The Role:

As our Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities to an excellent standard -- ensuring everything from guest rooms to public areas are safe, functional, and visually appealing. You'll work both independently and collaboratively with the wider team to address maintenance issues promptly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and improvements across hotel rooms, apartments, and public areas. Perform painting and decorating to a

high, professional finish

. Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively. Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work as required. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and complete admin tasks using IT systems. Liaise with the front office, housekeeping, and management teams to ensure smooth operations. Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests and emergencies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.

About You:

Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role, ideally within the hospitality or property sector. A

strong engineering mindset

with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Multi-skilled

- capable across general maintenance disciplines. High standard of

painting and finishing work

. Good IT and administrative skills for logging and reporting maintenance activities. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative. Flexible and reliable, with a positive and professional attitude.
