Bottlegreen is a part of the SHS group and is a small production facility manufacturing and bottling soft drinks in the heart of the Cotswolds just outside Stroud. With a current workforce of approx. 26 we are small closely knit team who are dedicated to producing high quality premium products.
The role involves working a rolling 3 shift pattern from 05:30 Monday morning through to Friday evening at 18:00 in a team of 3 (one engineer per shift). The shift pattern works on a 3-week cycle, earlies, lates and days. Early shift 05:30 to 14:00, late shift 0930 to 1800, day shift 07:30 to 16:00
In normal circumstances there will be no overtime but on occasion it may be needed to maintain production availability, and we would expect some adaptability and flexibility to accommodate this.
The position reports to the Engineering Manager.
The day shift engineer would be expected to cover nighttime callouts, when there is night shift, which only happens rarely. Holidays are 23 days per annum with an option to purchase up to five extra (at management discretion). Bank holidays are additional to this but on occasion you may be asked to work a Bank Holiday for which you will be given an extra day at a later date.
There is an optional pension scheme to which the company will match personal contributions up to a max of 5%, you can choose to contribute more if you wish.
The role is focussed around ensuring that the line downtime is kept to a minimum through proactive planned preventative maintenance and prompt response to any issues that do arise, as a result the role requires someone who is adaptable and able to problem solve in a sometimes pressured environment. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Fault finding on electrical systems
Knowledge of PLCs
Carrying out routine PPMs - lubrication, changing seals, meter readings, replacing worn bearings, conveyor components etc
Computer literate - excel/word
Experience of a CMMS and stores stock system
Mechanical and pneumatic fault finding
Diagnosing faults with 3ph electric motors and pumps
Some basic electrical knowledge/fault finding experience
Will be someone who is adaptable, able to work unsupervised and capable of prioritising their own workload. Working as a part of a small team is essential as is dedication to safety and quality.
