We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that food preparation and service standards are met while fostering a positive team atmosphere. Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards. Train and mentor team members in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Assist with cooking and serving during peak hours to support the team and ensure timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for positive resolutions. Collaborate with management to develop menus, specials, and promotional activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Previous experience in kitchen operations or barista roles is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. A background in hospitality or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
