Overview

We are seeking a motivated Shift Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cafe environments with food production, and will be responsible for overseeing daily operations while ensuring exceptional service standards. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage a diverse team, maintain high levels of food safety, and foster a positive working environment.

If you are invited for a first interview you will be required to make coffee's in order that we can assess your skills, if successful to proceed to second interview you will be required to do a weekend trial shift of 2 hours to assess your leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Oversee daily activities in the kitchen and cafe, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to food safety regulations. Train and mentor team members in barista skills, hygiene standards , and customer service best practices. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the kitchen Collaborate with management on any arears for business development. Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff members.

Experience

Experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry and has the ability to manage teams effectively - 2 years (required) Barista experience 2 years (required) Have a strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both staff and customers.
