Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our dynamic team at The Old Firestation, Topsham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and leading a small team in a fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in upholding our standards of hospitality within the Taproom.

The Old Firestation is a Microbrewery & Taproom in the heart of Topsham high-street, showcasing the best local beer and South West street food.

This role is permanent and open to candidates who are 18 or over. Evening and weekend availability is essential.

Duties

Keyholder duties, responsible for opening and closing the site. Leading shifts, sometimes as the most senior staff member onsite. Set a great example and support team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within all areas of the Taproom. Collaborate closely with management to process admin tasks and maintain our social media platforms.

Skills

Proven experience in a hospitality setting. Experience in managing a team and running shifts, with a focus on motivating and developing staff. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.. Familiarity with bartending practices. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers. Cellar management skills and an interest in beer preferred, but not essential.
