Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing exceptional service to our guests. This role requires a proactive individual who can help manage the kitchen and front-of-house staff effectively.

Duties

Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food production. Assist in cooking and preparing meals, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Manage daily operations during your shift, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and quality control. Train new employees on company policies, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas in compliance with health regulations. Support team management by fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in restaurants or hotels. Strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen operations. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example. Proven experience in food production and cooking techniques is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: 14.50-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
