About the Job
OSCABE is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to support day-to-day electrical maintenance activities, both in the field and in the workshop, working on a shift pattern. This is a hands-on role focused on safe working practices, following established procedures, and ensuring smooth and reliable operations.
You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining electrical systems to a high standard, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and effectively. If you are reliable, safety-focused, and have a strong background in electrical maintenance, we would like to hear from you.
This role operates on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off).
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day electrical maintenance tasks in the field and workshop
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with set procedures
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure operational reliability
Work collaboratively within the maintenance team to meet operational targets
HND or equivalent level of education
Time-served Electrical Technician or equivalent experience
Minimum 5-6 years of demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment with heavy-duty machinery or similar
Electrical Regulation 17th Edition preferred
Strong knowledge of general electrical maintenance, including HV/LV systems, motors, control circuits, automation, and instrumentation
Good understanding of safety requirements and procedures
Experience with maintenance methods, tools, and systems
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical and process control drawings
Willingness to embrace change and support continuous improvement
