Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of shifts, fostering a positive work environment, and upholding high standards of service and quality.

Responsibilities



Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or hospitality operations during assigned shifts Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations Manage staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all areas of the establishment Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally Assist in training new staff members in service protocols and operational procedures Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering as needed Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and front-of-house areas Support the management team in implementing company policies and procedures

Qualifications



Proven supervising or team management experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting Strong background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary arts is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production Experience in serving or hospitality roles such as barista or front-of-house service is advantageous Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred Demonstrated ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and tact
