Shift Manager | Salary up to 44,000 | Shift Allowance | Annual bonus | Chichester
We are seeking a talented Shift Manager to join our manufacturing team at the Runcton site, West Sussex. In this role, reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of high-performing Department Managers to achieve outstanding results for the business. You will be responsible for overseeing all production departments on your shift, ensuring that products are manufactured on time, meet quality standards, and stay within cost objectives.
We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7 to 7 covering days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically, you would be working as follows:
Salary ranging from 39,000 - 44,000 (dependent on experience)

Key responsibilities
Leading teams in a Food, Manufacturing, or FMCG factory environment to achieve operational excellence
Collaborating with the General Manager and other Shift Managers to develop and implement strategies that ensure the site meets its KPI targets
Providing clear, visible leadership to the Operations team on your shift, working closely with Department Managers to drive daily and weekly performance
Promoting a workplace culture focused on safety and quality
Actively contributing to the site's continuous improvement program by consistently identifying opportunities to reduce costs and enhance standards, ensuring full stakeholder engagement
Ensuring operations are ethically compliant, creating a work environment that is truly a 'brilliant place to work'
Taking clear accountability for achieving all KPIs for your shift in coordination with the Site Leadership team
Demonstrating resilience under pressure and effectively prioritising multiple tasks to fulfil your duties as a Site Manager
As a natural leader, you will play a key role in developing and empowering your team to perform at their best, safely meeting NWF quality standards and customer order fulfilment
Possessing strong leadership skills to motivate and engage a diverse team towards success
Having a keen eye for detail to ensure that our products are of the highest quality when they leave the facility
Experience/skills required
Demonstrated experience in managing teams within a Food, Manufacturing, or FMCG factory environment
Solutions-focused, adept at handling a complex and demanding workload
Strong, clear communicator, both verbally and in writing
Skilled at balancing priorities and making timely, effective decisions to meet customer needs
Resilient and composed under pressure, capable of guiding your team through rapid and necessary changes
