Location: Dartford

42-hour contract | 07:00-19:00 | 4 days on / 4 days off rotating shift pattern

We're looking for a Shift Manager to help oversee the magic behind our doughnut-making process. This is a hands-on, people-focused leadership role where you'll guide your team from the shop floor, maintain high standards, and ensure our famous doughnuts leave the site looking and tasting exactly as they should.

What You'll Do

As our Shift Manager, you'll:

Lead the team during your shift and keep workflow safe, efficient and well organised Act as the most senior onsite leader in the absence of the Site Manager Deliver clear and engaging daily team briefings Ensure strict Food Safety, Health & Safety and environmental compliance Maintain exceptional product quality Use tools such as DRM and Short Interval Control to drive shift performance Manage holidays, absences, onboarding and compliance training Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage new ideas Work closely with retail, transport, planning, HR and H&S teams Monitor and deliver KPIs including labour, COGS, yield, quality, OTIF, audits, and engagement

What You Bring

Essential:

Experience in food manufacturing or bakery environments Leadership experience managing teams in an FMCG or similar setting Strong communication skills and IT literacy Good numeracy Experience with continuous improvement processes

Desirable:

A proactive, driven mindset Resilience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment A willingness to try new approaches and continuously improve
