About the Role



We are looking for a strategic, people-focused Shift Manager to lead our warehouse operation across shifts. This role carries full accountability for shift performance, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination. You will drive compliance, efficiency, and culture by supporting and developing your team while maintaining high operational standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Operational Domains & Areas of Accountability:



Health & Safety

Support development and implement workplace safety policies. Conduct safety audits and analyse incident trends. Ensure alignment with legislation and company-wide compliance.
Operations

Assist in developing and executing weekly and daily operational plans in alignment with strategic goals. Establish and communicate labour standards to drive consistency and efficiency. Oversee holiday planning, attendance tracking, and team resourcing for the shift. Manage escalated operational risks and provide cross-functional support. Oversee new client/product onboarding in collaboration with leadership teams. Work closely with maintenance and site teams to address infrastructure and equipment needs. Support company ESG initiatives through process integration and awareness campaigns.
Team Leadership & Development

Design leadership development and succession planning. Oversee team structure, progression planning, and culture-building initiatives. Manage complex disciplinary and grievance cases, guiding procedures
Process Improvement & Efficiency

Lead Lean thinking and continuous improvement culture. Own KPI development and performance tracking. Align resource planning with operational efficiency goals.
Communication & Reporting

Communicate strategic objectives and respond to cross-department feedback. Drive consistent, two-way communication across all levels
Compliance & Quality Customer Satisfaction

Review quality data and drive corrective action planning. Lead strategic quality and compliance initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
Technology

Evaluate system effectiveness. Lead digital enablement and strategic tool adoption.
Stock Management

Manage strategic stock processes and forecasting. Review anomalies, stock control KPIs, and EOM/EOY counts.
Sustainability & Environmental Impact

Collaborate with senior management on ESG goals and reporting. Drive warehouse-level environmental initiatives (e.g., reducing energy use, material optimisation). Analyse environmental performance data and promote sustainable operational planning.
People & Culture (Behavioural Expectations)

Champion a culture of respect, accountability, and well-being. Handle complex behavioural concerns and support mental health at work. Ensure people policies are consistently applied and promote a values-based culture. Contribute to DEI and culture-building strategies in partnership with HR or senior leadership.

Pay: 425,000.00 per year
