Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations during shifts. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations. Manage team performance, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity and morale. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Assist in training new staff members in culinary techniques, serving procedures, and customer service excellence. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with management to develop menus, manage inventory, and optimise food production processes.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and cooking. Excellent team management abilities, fostering a collaborative work environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance. Previous experience in food production or kitchen management is advantageous. Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Experience in serving customers with a focus on delivering outstanding hospitality. Familiarity with barista duties is a plus for establishments offering coffee services.
