Role Outline:



The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing, developing, and leading Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Production Operatives to ensure the efficient and high-quality operation of the window and door factory, in alignment with TruFrame Ltd's customer and business objectives

Working Hours:



Monday to Friday, 14:00pm - 22:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Salary:



40,000 per annum

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:



Lead and develop an efficient production and manufacturing operation. Ensure total compliance with all applicable corporate and legal standards (personal safety, machine safety, quality, HR, health and safety and environment). Monitor productivity and KPIs on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Ensure that the shift targets are achieved and maintain product errors below the required target of 3.5%. Manage team and individuals' performance through organisation, motivation, communication and setting objectives. Encourage teamwork and a supporting environment in order to improve business performance. Ensure that appropriate training and development plans are in place to meet individual and business needs. Ensure appropriate succession plans, recruitment and development plans are in place. Maintain a good knowledge of Company policies and procedures. Conduct performance, probation, disciplinary and attendance review meetings, as well as interviews and grievance hearings (as and when required, with HR support). Develop a close working relationship with the management team and the HR department. Ensure a sufficient handover between shifts and that all reports are detailed and accurate. Lead Tier 2 meetings

Person Specification:



Previous managerial experience (essential) Previous manufacturing experience (essential) Previous experience of production of both windows and doors (ideal, but not essential) Good numeracy skills High standard of written English and good proof-reading skills Ability to work to tight deadlines Excellent organisational, communication and inter-personal skills. Confident team player, prepared to be flexible to meet team requirements.
