Lead High-Performance Teams in a Fast-Moving Logistics Environment

We're looking for a confident and experienced

Shift Manager

to join our growing sortation operation. You'll lead a team of

50-60 warehouse operatives per shift

, driving performance and safety standards across a busy, high-volume sorting center.

This is a key role for someone with a strong background in logistics, people management, and operational excellence -- ready to take ownership of shift delivery and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day shift operations to ensure safe, accurate and timely parcel processing Lead, motivate and develop a team of 50-60 staff including supervisors and operatives Monitor KPIs and drive performance through clear communication, coaching and support Oversee shift handovers and maintain accurate records of operational metrics Ensure compliance with health & safety, security, and operational procedures Identify and resolve issues promptly to minimise delays or disruption Maintain a clean, efficient and well-organised working environment Report shift performance and concerns to senior operations leadership

Requirements

Proven experience in a

shift management or team leadership

role (minimum 2 years)

Sortation centre or warehouse experience

is essential Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to manage large teams Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills Comfortable working rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and early starts Flexible, resilient and able to thrive in a high-pressure logistics environment IT literacy and experience using WMS or similar warehouse systems is desirable
