Summary
We are seeking a
Shift Manager
(working a night shift from 21:45 to 06:15), 40 hours per week.
This position requires the successful candidate to:
Provide direct leadership and decision making across all operational areas (Dairy, Whey Plant & Milk Intake) within specified parameters.
Ensure that all Operational, Quality, Legal, Food Safety, Authenticity and Health & Safety standards are achieved.
Be responsible for the wellbeing of team members within the shift teams and be the first point of contact on site for the resolution of any issues or daily decisions within the specified operational areas. Ensuring resources are managed to deliver the operational requirements. Whilst using management and leadership skills to orchestrate and motive staff to ensure smooth running of the operational areas, delivery of high standards and achieving relevant operational KPIs.
Communicate the plans and priorities to key stakeholders and the management of resources to achieve the delivery of the plan, quality, service and cost performance targets.
Use relevant applications and systems to ensure accurate data is being recorded including but not limited to quality of production, traceability, ordering and stock control information for all areas.
Collaborate closely with managers and the supporting departments to ensure high quality standards, learning and utilise problem solving tools to ensure delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and identify and eliminate the root cause of production issues.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role.
Proven experience in a management role within the food industry.
Level 3 NVQ or similar in leadership and management.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to train staff effectively and foster a collaborative environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Good organisational and communication skills, using different media methods to delegate tasks.
Good IT skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
