This role is fully and singularly responsible for the factory when on shift and will be responsible for making decisions concerning management of personnel, production and its quality, cost control, personal safety, food safety and service in the absence of direct line management being present.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Lead with a focus on people, safety, and the environment, fostering a culture of zero accidents Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing standards, risk assessments, and safety procedures. Drive a proactive safety culture, conducting audits, addressing hazards, and never overlooking poor practices. Lead and manage Team Leaders and Operators, setting clear and attainable goals. Oversee recruitment, training, and development, ensuring skill gaps are addressed and training plans implemented. Ensure consistent performance management, including appraisals, disciplinary actions, and recognition. Maintain effective communication, fostering a positive culture and strong team morale. Drive adherence to standards, processes, and GMP, promoting ahigh quality ethos. Investigate deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, conducting audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations. Support new product launches in collaboration with the NPD team. Maintain site security and incident escalation procedures while on shift. Monitor and achieve internal KPIs, investigating and resolving any deviations.

Shift Pattern:

You will work 6pm - 6am, Thursday - Saturday night and a 12 hour clean shift every fourth Sunday.
