We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee our Wash and Pack department. The Shift Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Wash and Pack section, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for driving continuous improvement within the team.
Manage all aspects of the Wash and Pack section, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet production targets.
Oversee the washing, sanitizing, and packing processes to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Lead and motivate a team of wash and pack operators, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules and ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure adequate supplies are available.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and drive implementation of best practices within the department.
Looking after a team of 6 - 27 (seasonal fluctuation)
Qualifications:
A foundation degree, HND or degree in a relevant subject, logistics, supply chain management, warehouse management, business management
Work Experience
Previous experience at a supervisory grade in a similar environment
Previous experience managing teams
Previous experience of working within a controlled Bonded stores environment

Strong leadership skills but ability to work with a team.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop long term relationships and facilitate sometime diverse groups of people to work together to achieve shared objectives
Flexible and able to manage multiple demands in a highly pressurised environment to tight timescales, prioritising as appropriate
Ability to take ownership and deliver to deadlines in a fast - paced environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English,
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Proactive and positive/flexible attitude
