YOUR ROLE

Our Multi-User operation based in Kettering has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and people focused Shift Supervisor (AM Shift) to join a new FMCG customer, where you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of warehousing team leaders and colleagues ensuring operational delivery and customer service excellence whilst instilling a high performance, engaging and continuous improvement culture.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for 2-4 direct reports, 20-25 indirect reports, plus agency resource where you will hold daily team briefings ensuring that work is allocated effectively and efficiently to meet operational targets and KPI\'s. You will conduct team one-to-ones identifying colleague development areas, implementing succession plans, and ensuring colleagues are adequately trained within the operation to cover any holiday, sickness, absence, or overtime required. You will build excellent working relationships with the customer and internal stakeholders and ensure all customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standard.

As the Shift Supervisor you will actively maintain high standards across the site, ensuring cleanliness, safety and quality targets are adhered to, investigate incidents, implementing countermeasures to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement initiatives with your team.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a customer centric and people focused Shift Supervisor who has ideally operated within a fast-paced FMCG or 3PL operation. Our ideal candidates will come with demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and structuring a warehousing team, knowledgeable with Warehouse Management Systems and able to create and analyse KPI or performance reports for management. You will be practiced in working within operations with a focus on health and safety and quality targets and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

It goes without saying that you will have strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working within a diverse operational team, engaging with a variety of stakeholders and customers.

The core shifts across the operation are 7am-3pm or 3pm to 11pm.
