We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a passion for leading teams in a fast-paced setting. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen and service areas operate smoothly, maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the kitchen and service areas, ensuring efficient operations.
Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.
Oversee food production and preparation processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations.
Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and best practices related to food handling and safety.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with upper management to implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food production or preparation within a restaurant or hotel environment is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
Previous experience in supervising or managing staff is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members alike.
A background in bartending or beverage management is an advantage but not mandatory.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
