Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee operations in our dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bartending and food service, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the shift run smoothly, while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the pub. Manage and support kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation teams, to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of food production. Assist in the development of team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with management to implement operational improvements and enhance service delivery. Efficiently complete typical bar duties whilst also maintaining a focus on floor service and food running to the customers satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry, preferably in restaurants or pubs. Strong knowledge of food production processes, culinary techniques, and food safety standards. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team. Experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage service is an advantage. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Pay: Up to 13.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
